About
Lamha freezes the display, then opens its own overlay for select and markup. GNOME and KDE pickers stay out of the way.
The name comes from Arabic لمحة (lamḥa): a glance.
Capture, then mark
Area, window, or the whole screen. A delay of one to ten seconds can wait for menus and hover states. Markup lives in the same overlay: pen, arrow, shapes, highlight, blur, numbered steps, text, and erase. Drag a mark, restyle it, undo, redo, duplicate, or delete.
A circular lens follows the pointer. Scroll changes its size. Settings sets the zoom from 2× to 10×.
Stay in the back
Close the window to hide it. Capture from the tray, a system shortcut, or
lamha --capture=area. History stays on the machine, under
$XDG_DATA_HOME/lamha/captures.
Distribution
Linux binary and AppImage ship on GitHub releases. GTK4 on Wayland, GNOME and Plasma. The first capture on GNOME may ask for screenshot permission. That is not the GNOME capture UI.
